Some homeowners are in a situation where they have a garage but are unable to park their car because of all the clutter that is filling up the space. It is usually one of those situations where things just slowly build up in the open space and eventually take over. The situation is not impossible to fix though. Organization is important, and in your garage, you probably have a lot of unused space. Putting up hooks, shelves, and cabinets will create the space you need to get items off of the floor. While doing this, you should keep in mind that you want to avoid having the space-saving measures turn into a hazard. Shelves and cabinets need to be firmly anchored in the wall, and if you mount anything in the ceiling, be aware of the path your garage door might travel when it opens up so there isn’t a risk that it will be in the way.
